USTA Launches National College Alumni Tennis Classic This December

Adult Tennis News College Tennis Tennis On Campus

The USTA is offering an exciting new way for former varsity college players to reconnect with their old teammates, get back on the court together and relive their glory days.

The USTA College Alumni Tennis Classic offers a fun, three-day getaway in sunny Orlando where players and their old college teammates can compete against other schools at the USTA National Campus. College coaches are also invited to come out and watch their former players.

The event will be held on Friday, Dec. 14 to Sunday, Dec. 16. Teams must consist of a minimum of six men or six women from the same school. The entry fee of $400 per team covers the cost to play in the tournament as well as attend the player welcome party.

Each player on the team must have played varsity tennis for that school at some point in the past, and cannot be currently enrolled. Each team match will consist of best-of-three doubles matches, and the scoring format will be one 8-game pro set with no-ad scoring.

Proceeds from each team’s entry fee will be donated to that team’s current college tennis program. An additional $500 will be donated to the winning teams’ university in both the men’s and women’s divisions.
