“This past weekend we were ‘chillin’ in Tallahassee for FSU’s Clash at the Capital,” USTA Florida Tennis on Campus Coordinator Desirae McLaughlin said of the chilly weekend temperatures. “Players were feeling the effects of the week’s cold fronts, but this did not hinder the caliber of play over the weekend.”

Gold Bracket final results:

Men’s Doubles: Johann Rapp/Luke Blackman (UF-“A”) d. Shiv Krishnaswamy/Coley Hargate 6-3

Men’s Singles: Thomas Accajou (UF-“B”) d. Andrew Makarov 6-2
Mixed Doubles: Spencer Ong/Paige Nicholson (UF-“A”) d. Shiv Krishnaswamy/Noelle Kough 6-3

In the Gold Bracket semifinals UF-“A” defeated the UF-“C” team, and UF-“B” topped the FSU-“A” squad.

Other participating schools were Florida State University, Florida Atlantic University, Florida Gulf Coast University, and the University of South Florida. UF has won 12 of the last 13 Florida “Tennis on Campus” Gold Bracket events.
