Three Florida collegiate women’s tennis teams will take on some of the best women’s college players in the country during the USTA Fall Ranked Spotlight at the USTA National Campus, Sept. 27-29, 2019.

The USTA partnered with UCF and NC State to host the tournament, which will feature a 32-player singles draw as well as some exciting doubles matches.

The tournament field features four singles players and two doubles teams from nine programs that finished in the Top 25 of the Tennis Channel/USTA College Tennis rankings at the end of the 2019 spring season. The roster includes Florida collegiate favorites No. 13 University of Central Florida (UCF), No. 18 University of Miami (UM), and No. 21 University of Florida (UF), along with No. 5 South Carolina, No. 10 Oklahoma State, No. 15 NC State, No. 20 Tennessee, No. 23 Virginia and No. 24 Ohio State.

This weekend marks the kick-off of UCF’s 2019 fall tournament schedule. The Knight’s Rebeka Stolmar, Marie Mattel, Nandini Sharma, and Domenika Turkovic will represent the team on their home courts, as the entire tournament takes place at the UCF Collegiate Tennis Center at the USTA National Campus.

UF will be represented by McCartney Kessler, Victoria Emma, Marlee Zein, and Layne Sletth in the competition.

Miami’s Estela Perez-Somarriba is the top seed in the singles draw. She’ll return to the USTA National Campus just a few months after she captured the 2019 NCAA Division I women’s singles title. Daevenia Achong, Selma Cadar, and Yuna Ito will also hit the court for Miami.
