We are headed to the semifinals!!!!  We are “over the top” excited! Here’s how the day went:

We played USTA Hawaii this morning (after our official team photo in which we looked sharp in our #BelieveIT shirts). We took all five lines, and made friends with the sweetest girls at the tournament. We fell in love with Hawaii.

Then in the afternoon, we geared-up to play USTA Southern. Those Tennessee girls gave us a run for our money. It was a thrill because both Florida singles girls had lost their first sets. Then they both came back to split sets and win the tiebreaker.

Doubles line 1 was on Center Court for all to see. They won in two sets. Boy did one of those Tennessee girls have a wicked serve! Doubles lines 3 and 4 fought to the very end, and had tough losses. On the bright side, it was still a team win!

Florida was 4-0 in our flight, knocking out the other teams. On to semifinals Sunday morning!

The Player Party was a nice affair. We wore our hair down and put make-up on and some party clothes. The Surprise tennis complex is only an eight-minute walk from our hotel, so we walked. Crisp cool air was quite refreshing. Italian food, raffle, dancing. We loved it. Some of us even danced the Cupid Shuffle.

We all came back to the hotel early to rest up for our bright and early match in the morning.

Good Night!! Sweet tennis dreams! See you at he courts!
