The USTA this week launched the USTA Pro Circuit App, free for anyone with a mobile device or tablet.

The app can be downloaded by visiting Apple Inc.’s App Store (iOS) for iPhone and iPad devices, or the Google Play Store for Android devices.

To download the app, search “pro circuit.” in the iTunes or Google Play app stores.  Or click the image to the right.

The USTA Pro Circuit app allows people to “Connect with the Circuit” and is designed to be a social hub for tennis fans, USTA Pro Circuit tournament directors and staff, local pro circuit partners, coaches, and players.

Upon joining, community members can find information about the USTA Pro Circuit’s 90 events, live-stream events, and share stories, photos and videos from pro circuit events nationwide.

Some of the app’s features include:

  • A global activity feed, which is a quick way to share photos from tournaments, comments and check-in to see where the USTA Pro Circuit is being played and who is attending;
  • Live streaming, which provides high-quality, live match coverage for all men’s and women’s tournaments with prize money of $50,000 and above;
  • A photo feed, where members can upload their favorite photos from USTA Pro Circuit events nationwide;
    A calendar which provides schedule updates for the 2015 season;
  • “Players to Watch,” highlighting some of the biggest names and up-and-coming American players competing on the USTA Pro Circuit;
  • Surveys, where pro circuit community members are invited and encouraged to provide feedback concerning the pertinent issues of the day.

The app launches this week during two of the USTA Pro Circuit’s largest events — The men’s RBC Tennis Championships of Dallas, and the women’s Dow Corning Tennis Classic in Midland, Mich.

Since 1979, 17 USTA Pro Circuit alums (including five Americans) have achieved the No. 1 world singles rankings. Maria Sharapova, Andy Roddick, Lindsay Davenport, Pete Sampras, Justine Henin, Jim Courier and Andre Agassi are among the game’s top stars who began their careers on the USTA Pro Circuit.
