USTA Florida Announces Three-Year Partnership with SwingVision

Press Release

USTA Florida is thrilled to announce a new three-year partnership with SwingVision, a cutting-edge mobile app that is enhancing the tennis experience around the world. USTA Florida members can get a special discount on the SwingVision Pro Yearly & SwingStick bundle that includes unlimited shot tracking, video analysis & cloud storage for life!

With every purchase, SwingVision will make a donation to the USTA Florida Foundation. You can learn more about the Foundation and how to donate by visiting, ustafloridafoundation.com/recurring-donations.

SwingVision uses artificial intelligence to analyze your video in real-time on just a single smartphone. Built by A.I. experts from Tesla and Apple and backed by investors Andy Roddick and James Blake, SwingVision is a great way to track, review and improve your game. This technology will allow you to track your shot placement & ball speed, watch a 2-hour match in 30 minutes, create highlights of your best points, and even challenge line calls with an Apple watch, just like the pros!

Head of Pro Player Relations at SwingVision, George Opelka, is ecstatic to partner with the section and help spur innovation in the way players and coaches can improve their tennis game. “Tennis is ready for innovation, and we need to modernize in order to grow the sport,” he said. “SwingVision works with matches, drills, and even hitting targets with the ball machine. When you’re done – Swingvision makes it easy to cast and watch your session on your TV and even share the condensed match with your coach!”

As an organization, USTA Florida is excited to bring SwingVision out into the community. “USTA Florida has a history of innovating to move the game forward,” Executive Director, Laura Bowen said. “SwingVision shares our desire to advance technology and give back to the game. We are thrilled to partner with them.”

This forefront technology will be implemented at all four of the USTA Florida managed facilities across the state. The Racquet Club of Cocoa Beach will be the first of those facilities who will have access to SwingVision first. Starting on November 14, all the courts at the facility will feature this brand-new technology. Play Tennis Gainesville, Riverside Racquet Complex, and Play Tennis Gainesville will see SwingVision in 2024.

SwingVision will also be on the grounds showcasing the technology to our Florida tennis community at various events throughout the next few years of our partnership. The first tournament in 2023 to have a presence from SwingVision will be at the Junior Team Tennis (JTT) Fall State Championship on December 9 and 10 at the Florida Tennis Center, in Daytona Beach.

In a further commitment to push technology further in the Florida tennis ecosystem, USTA Florida has sponsored Edward Waters University, in Jacksonville, giving the HBCU access to SwingVision. On May 23, 2023, the school announced that tennis would be joining the university as a varsity sport and in August, EWU opened its new tennis complex, featuring four courts, thanks to a grant from the USTA and ITA.

Marc Atkinson, the Head Coach of the tennis team for EWU, is elated to have SwingVision as a brand-new tennis program. “We are thrilled to partner with SwingVision and incorporate their cutting-edge technology into our program at Edward Waters University. In our first year as a program, having access to this advanced video analysis and training system is a game-changer,” he said. “SwingVision will be instrumental in enhancing our players’ skills, refining their techniques, and providing valuable insights for strategic improvement. This partnership signifies our commitment to offering our team the best resources available and elevating our performance on and off the court.”
