UF, UCF, and Miami Represent the Sunshine State at 2026 Tennis on Campus National Championships
Three USTA Florida teams made the trip to Fort Worth, Texas, to compete at the 2026 Tennis on Campus National Championships, hosted at Texas Christian University. The University of Florida, University of Central Florida, and University of Miami all represented the Sunshine State on the national stage after qualifying through the Sectional Championship and season standings this season.

The Florida squads made its presence felt right away in pool play. Both UF and UCF came out strong, each going undefeated with 3-0 records to earn spots in the Gold Bracket. UF topped Pool I while UCF ran the table in Pool H. Miami finished 2-1 in Pool M, earning a place in the Silver Bracket.
Once bracket play began, the competition intensified. In the Gold Bracket, UF dropped a closer 25-24 opener to Purdue but showed resilience with back-to-back wins over Northwestern, 25-21, and North Carolina, 24-18, before the remainder of the consolation draw was canceled due to weather. UCF ran into a tough Stanford squad in its first Gold Bracket match, falling 30-12, and was eliminated after a 24-17 loss to Notre Dame.

In the Silver Bracket, Miami put together a strong run. The Hurricanes fell 26-25 to Virginia, but responded with a strong 27-21 victory over UC Irvine. In their next match, they fell in a hard-fought 26-24 loss to Minnesota, which ended their run at TOC Nationals as the rest of the consolation draw was also canceled due to weather.
Despite the weather-shortened finish, all three Florida teams gained valuable experience competing against top programs from across the country. With two teams reaching the Gold Bracket and competitive showings across the board, USTA Florida’s Tennis on Campus programs continue to prove themselves among the best in the nation.
