The University of Florida club tennis team continued its domination of the 2014-15 USTA Florida ‘Tennis on Campus’ series on Nov. 8-9, 2014 at the UCF Knitro Cup in Orlando. In the final the UF-“A” team defeated the University of Miami-“A” squad 28-11 in the World TeamTennis scoring format.

Our ‘A’ team brought home the championship and our B-D teams competed hard and won a lot of tough matches,” said UF captain Max Koller. “Overall had a great time with everyone this fall and cannot wait for the spring tournament season come January.”

UF won the men’s singles 6-0 and doubles 6-2, the women’s doubles 6-2 and the mixed 6-1. UM was victorious in the women’s singles 6-3.

It was UM’s first appearance in a final in the 2014-15 season.

In the Silver Bracket final UCF-“B” defeated Florida Gulf Coast University-“B” 25-20. The Bronze Bracket final was cancelled due to darkness with the University of Tampa-“A” and University of South Florida-“C” teams reaching the final.
