It’s almost August, and that means summer camps are wrapping up at the three facilities managed by the USTA Florida Tennis Management Division.

The jam-packed 2019 Summer Camp schedules at the Racquet Club of Cocoa Beach, the Fort Walton Beach Tennis Center, and Play Tennis Gainesville gave kids a summer to remember — full of fun activities and tennis fundamentals.

The camps started June 3rd, and ran for 9 weeks.

Racquet Club of Cocoa Beach:

  • Second year for camp
  • 209 children participated
  • 45-50 participants per week
  • 466 total registrations (several campers took part for multiple weeks)

Fort Walton Beach Tennis Center:

  • First year for camp
  • 85 children participated
  • Around 25 participants per week
  • 204 total registrations (several campers took part for multiple weeks)

Play Tennis Gainesville:

  • First year for camp
  • 116 children participated
  • 45-50 participants per week
  • 322 total registrations (several campers took part for multiple weeks)
  • 30 additional kids from the city camps took part during the last 4 weeks

US Open Net Generation On-Court Experience:

8 children from the Racquet Club of Cocoa Beach and 3 from Play Tennis Gainesville will be headed to New York on August 31st, to be part of the US Open Net Generation On-Court Experience. Any kids age 8-12 participating in a summer camp at a USTA Florida facility have the chance to be selected for the exclusive experience.

Upcoming events/classes:

Just because summer camps are over, doesn’t mean the fun has to stop at any of our facilities. All three are now gearing up for fall classes and back to school activities.
