The 2023 Bobby Curtis Tournament cycle is already off to a hot start with the Yellow Ball competitions being one of the most exciting ever held. Players from across the state battled it out across two weeks to become champion and each match was exhilarating.

With that competition in the books, USTA Florida is happy to announce the 2023 Bobby Curtis Green Ball Championships. The tournament will be held on October 28 and October 29, with registration opening on Saturday, July 1. This year’s event will be held at Lake Cane Tennis Center, in Orlando, Florida.

This tournament is on a first-come, first-served basis, with only 32 players for Boys’ and 32 for Girls’ being granted entry. To enter, you must be on a USTA Membership with Florida as your home Section. Athletes must also be 10 years old or younger to compete.

Format for the matches will be the best 2 out of 3 sets, where the winner of each needs to win 4 games. If matches get to a third set, it will be played out as a 10-point tiebreaker. Players that finish in the top six will be recognized with awards, plus the two athletes that battle through the consolation bracket.
