USTA Florida Combo League Sectionals champions will be determined, and teams will seek to defend their Florida Sectional titles from the previous season, during this weekend when USTA Florida hosts the Combo 18 & Over 5.5/7.5/9.5 League Sectional Tennis Championships, Jan. 15-17, 2016, at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Fla.
Defending champs at this year’s sectionals are the two-time defending Marion County men in the 5.5 division, Alachua County in the Men’s 9.5, Escambia County in the Women’s 5.5, and South Miami-Dade in the Women’s 7.5.
Marion County has won the Combo 18 & Over Men’s 5.5 division in five of the last six years.
For Combo 18 & Over 5.5/7.5/9.5 division play, the combined NTRP (National Tennis Rating Program) ratings of each doubles team may not exceed the level/division in which they are competing, and the NTRP rating difference between members of an individual doubles pair may not exceed 0.5.
