Both players were coming off three-set semifinal wins, but the 17-year-old Subhash looked the fresher in the final, winning her second title of 2019. The Virginia-born Subhash in her semifinal defeated top-seeded American Grace Min 6-4, 0-6, 6-3, while Kinard outlasted American quaifier Karina Miller 6-3, 5-7, 6-4.

Neither player had dropped a set leading to the semifinals. Subhash improved to 2-0 career in ITF/USTA Pro Circuit events, winning her first in May of this year, and the 31-year-old Kinard was looking for her career-first title.

Subhash, who has verbally committed to the University of Virginia, entered the event at No. 802 on the WTA rankings.

In the all-American all-teen doubles final the No. 2-seeded Zamarripa sisters, Allure and Maribella, won their second straight title, defeating unseeded Kimmi Hance and Ashlyn Krueger 6-3, 6-1. The previous week the sisters won in Wesley Chapel, and in this event the 16 year olds collected their third career title.
