Free to the first 100 registrants, a Net Generation Kids Day will be held at the Elizabeth Moore Sarasota Open on Saturday, April 14 beginning at 10 a.m. for children under the age of 18.

The Elizabeth Moore Sarasota Open, a USTA pro Circuit event, will be held on April 14-22 at Laurel Oak Country Club in Sarasota, Fla. Past champions of the event include James Blake, Sam Querrey, Kei Nishikori and Nick Kyrgios.

Net Generation makes it easier for kids and their parents to learn about tennis and get into the game in schools, parks and tennis clubs across the country. The movement embraces all aspects of youth play for kids ages 5-18. Through Net Generation, local children at USTA Pro Circuit tournaments and other events are given the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take part in pre-match coin tosses, be a player escort prior to matches, or play tennis during on-court Net Generation demonstrations.

Other events in and around the Elizabeth Moore Sarasota Open include a Doubles Wild Card Tournament on March 30-April 1 at the United Tennis Academy in Bradenton (entry deadline March 27), a Singles Wild Card Tournament on April 6-8 (entry deadline April 3), and the Elizabeth Moore Sarasota Open Pro-Am Golf Tournament on April 15 featuring players from the ATP World Tour and local celebrities, benefiting Sarasota Open charities.

Only the first 100 children registering for the Net Generation Kids Day will be accepted, so parents are encouraged to register children early.
