May 6 Deadline for H.S. Seniors to Register for 6th annual Florida All Star Tennis Showcase
Player registration closes on May 6, 2019, for the 6th annual Florida All Star Tennis Showcase.
The event highlights Florida high school seniors who participating on a Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) tennis team in 2019, and players will once again be awarded the opportunity to represent their region.
The event will be held on Sunday, May 12 on the weekend following the FHSAA state tennis championships, and will take place at Countryside Country Club in Clearwater.
“We will honor high school tennis team players who will be graduating in 2019 with the May 12 showcase,” says organizer Mike Baugh. “Three boys and three girls from each region will compete against each other using a UTR-verified format of matches.”
The fee for players is $50, and coaching is allowed during matches. Participants must be graduating high school in 2019 and played a minimum of 5 high school matches.
“We can again send these senior high school tennis players off to college with the same memories as past FHSTA All Stars,” Baugh says.
Event registration closes on May 6, 2019 at 11:30 p.m. Countryside Country Club is located at 3001 Countryside Blvd. in Clearwater, Fla.
