Violeta was born in Miami, Fla., but currently lives in Port St. Lucie and trains in Wellington. She started playing tennis with her mom at some tennis courts in her neighborhood when she was 4 years old. She has loved the sport since then. Her dad currently plays a couple of days per week and her brother also competes.

Where is  your family from? Argentina

What does tennis mean to you? Tennis brings me happiness and I like meeting new friends. I also like that I am on my own because I like to challenge myself.

Why tennis? I just love it.

What are you most proud of: That I practice every day and I have won important tournaments. When I was like 8 or 9 I won the Bobby Curtis 10’s and this year I won a Level 4 in 12’s.

Favorite player (Men’s): [Roger] Federer, he does not let himself down and he fights for it.

Favorite Player (Women’s): Serena Williams, because she is very nice to all the players and always works hard.

Favorite memory on the tennis courts: The first time I hit the ball. Since then I knew I wanted to play tennis.

How do you feel about being Hispanic: I like being Hispanic, I like speaking another language and having family in different places.

What does your Hispanic culture mean to you: I enjoy it, I Iike visiting my family and the way I am raised.

What would you tell other kids who have not tried tennis before? It is a very fun sport. You can compete or not, but it is just fun being on the court.

What are you looking for during the Bobby Curtis: To get far in the draw, of course I would love to win it.

What are your goals for the future: Just to do my best in all matches and continue to improve

Violeta nació en en Miami Florida, pero vive en Port St. Lucie y entrena en Wellington. Comenzo a jugar con su mama cuando tenia 4 años en unas canchas de su barrio. Ha amado este deporte desde ese día. Su papa juega un par de veces por semana y su hermano tambien compite.

De dónde es tu familia: Argentina

Qué signifíca el tenis para tí? El tenis me da felicidad y me encanta hacer nuevos amigos. También me gusta que debo estar sola pues me gusta retarme a mi misma.

Por qué tenis? Simplemente lo amo.

Cuál es tu mayor orgullo: Que practico todos los dias y he ganado torneos importantes. Cuando tenía 8 o 9 años gané el torneo Bobby Curtis en la categoría de 10 años y este año gané un nivel 4 en la categoría de 12.

Jugador Favorito: Federer porque nunca se desanima y siempre la lucha

Jugadora Favorita: Serena Williams porque se lleva bien con las otras jugadoras y siempre trabaja duro.

Recuerdo favorito en las canchas: La primera vez que le pegué a la pelota. Desde ahí super que queria jugar tenis.

Cómo te sientes de ser Hispana: Me gusta ser Hispana, hablar otro idioma y tener familia en lugares diferentes.

Qué signifíca la cultura Hispana para tí: La disfruto, me gusta visitar a mi familia y la forma en la que me han criado

Qué te gustaría decirle a otros niños que no han probado el tenis? Que el tenis en un deporte muy divertido. Pueden competir o no pero es simplemente divertido estar en la cancha.

Qué estás esperando en el torneo Bobby Curtis: Avanzar en el cuadro y obviamente me encantaría ganarlo.

Cuales son tus metas para el futuro: Hacer lo mejor que puedo durante los partidos y seguir trabajando para mejorar.
