The U.S. Davis Cup team will attempt to advance into the semifinals on July 15-17, 2016, when the squad of American No. 1 John Isner, Jack Sock and the former No. 1-ranked Bryan brothers, Bob and Mike, host Croatia in the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas World Group Quarterfinals.

The best-of-five match series will be played on a temporary outdoor hard court at the Tualatin Hills Tennis Center in Portland, Ore.

Croatia’s Davis Cup captain Zeljko Krajan nominated No. 13-ranked and 2014 US Open champion Marin Cilic, No. 50 Borna Coric, Ivan Dodig who is ranked No. 15 in doubles, and Marin Draganja, who is a former Top 20 doubles player.

Play will begin at 11:30 a.m. PT on Friday, July 15, with the doubles on Saturday, and the two reverse singles on Sunday. Tickets are available and may be purchased by visiting www.usta.com/daviscup or by calling 888-484-USTA (8782).

Croatia holds a 3-0 record over the United States in Davis Cup, one of only three countries that hold a winning record over the U.S. The U.S. last faced Croatia in the 2009 World Group quarterfinal and also faced them in 2003 and 2005. This will be the United States’ first home tie since 2014.

The winner advances to the World Group semifinals, held Sept. 16-18, against the winner of France and the Czech Republic.

Tampa’s 31-year-old Isner is 10-9 in singles over his U.S. Davis Cup career. The 23-year-old Sock is 2-1 in singles after debuting for the U.S. last year. The 38-year-old Bryan brothers are 24-4 in doubles and are the all-time winningest tandem for the U.S.

Practice partners for the U.S. will be 19-year-old 2015 French Open juniors champ Tommy Paul and University of Illinois alum Jared Hiltzik.
