For the third straight year the US Open will open up its gates for free for the 2017 Community Day at the US Open, held the second Thursday of the tournament on Sept. 7 beginning at noon.

Fans can roam the grounds of the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center and see men’s and women’s doubles, wheelchair competition, junior competition and the American Collegiate Invitational.

“The US Open has the greatest fans in the world, and we wanted to say thank you by opening the doors to the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center for a day of complimentary tennis on Community Day,” said USTA Chairman of the Board and President Katrina Adams. “We want to give all New Yorkers the opportunity to experience the highest level of the sport in person, and introduce as many people as possible to a sport that you can play for life.”
