Learning tennis has never been easier with USTA Florida’s “Love to Learn!” program, and Fort Myers-area residents can learn more during a free kick-off party on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018 from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Hideaway Country Club tennis courts in Ft. Myers.

“Stop by Hideaway County Club on Saturday to check out what this program has to offer,” says USTA Florida Fort Myers-area Local League Coordinator Carly Davis. “There will be food and prizes, and this is the perfect opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the program and see what play opportunities there are for beginners.”

Love to Learn! is for players either picking up tennis for the first time or looking to get back in the game after taking a break. Players will:

Learn to play doubles tennis in a few short weeks…
On a team, learning match skills and strategy with…
Volunteers and instructors who want you to…
Enjoy the game and play for a lifetime!

Pros work with players to hone the basics, work on point construction and rallying, and have practice sessions with volunteer mentors who get participants up to speed on court etiquette, scoring, calling lines, and other rules and procedures. Programs are generally 6-8 weeks with eventual intra-club mentored play.
