The fall season of USTA Junior Team Tennis in Florida is right around the corner, and parents and players can get a preview of the popular junior league by attending a local Junior Team Tennis Team Up event in August.
The free two-hour Team Ups feature tennis, refreshments, and a chance to meet other players and organizers from facilities across the region at a family-friendly event. All ages and ability levels are welcome, and USTA Florida staff and volunteers will help parents and players find a league in their community.
Parents and coaches will receive valuable information about the season, and can connect directly with league administrators to ask questions. All players who sign up for a local JTT league at a JTT Team Up will also receive a free gift.
“Team Ups are a great way to get information about Junior Team Tennis, and to see if JTT is a program players are ready for,” says USTA Florida Team Tennis Coordinator Liz Coates.

USTA Junior Team Tennis brings kids together in teams to play singles, doubles and mixed doubles against other beginner, intermediate or advanced teams, promoting social skills and important values, fostering cooperation and team play, as well as individual self-growth. JTT provides a fun environment for kids in which they learn that succeeding is really more about how they play the game — win or lose. Approximately 100,000 youth from coast to coast play Junior Team Tennis annually.
