18-39 Co-ed, Social Mix & Match Among New Fall League Offerings

We have some NEW exciting offerings planned for this fall in Indian River, Martin and St. Lucie counties.

We have an Adult 18-39 co-ed program that will play on Thursday nights with one position of men’s doubles, one position of ladies’ doubles and one position of mixed doubles. A Fall social warm-up league is being offered for the Adult 40 & Over ladies on Friday mornings to get ready for their local county league play. Last, but not least, we have a Social Mix & Match league that will play on Wednesday nights with three positions of mixed doubles.

These new offerings should compliment the traditional Fall league offering of Combo 18 & Over play. There’s tennis for everyone!

Fall 2018 leagues are forming teams now. Please visit www.IRMSLtennis.net to see the offerings in their entirety and to submit your team commitment form.

Buttonwood Mixed 40 & Over Team Advances to USTA League Nationals

Congratulations to the Buttonwood Mixed 40 & Over 8.0 team for winning the USTA Florida League Section Championships at the beginning of June!

They will be representing Florida at the USTA League National Championships in Lake Nona, Orlando, on Nov. 16-18, 2018. The Buttonwood team is captained by Larry Shull with Patrick Galligan as his co-captain.

“What an amazing weekend,” Shull said. “Aside from winning sectionals, the tournament was run smoothly. All our matches went on as scheduled and the USTA staff did an incredible job. Big thanks to my teammates and the staff for making our dream of nationals a reality.”

The rest of the teammates are Guadalupe Avinzano, Michael DiNenna, Marie Paul-Cafmeyer, Lori Glaspey, Somhathai Immerman, Beth Grossnickle, Deborah Iandoli, Jan Krestan and Alex Aligata.

We wish them the best of luck and know they will do a fantastic job representing Florida. “Go B-wood!”
