FACA/FHSTCA Florida School Tennis Workshop on Dec. 7-9

Twenty hours of high-quality coaching education for all levels of tennis professionals will be featured when the 2018 Florida Athletic Coaches Association/Florida High School Tennis Coaches Association (FACA/FHSTCA) Workshop will be held on Dec. 7-9 at the Daytona Beach Hilton Oceanwalk in Daytona Beach, Fla.

“It doesn’t matter if this is the first time you have coached the school’s JV team or if you are a 40-year industry veteran, this workshop has something for you,” says organizer Mike Baugh. “Join award-winning coaches from around the country and get updates to help you and your programs.”

Friday, Dec. 7 will feature a session on The Recruiting Process, the FACA/FHSTCA general membership meeting, and sessions with Marc Gelina of UCF Professional Tennis Management, Paul D’Amico, Ramona Husaru, Cory Sobers of the FHSAA, Dede Allen and Terri Bently.

Saturday will feature a Social Network Forum, a CORA Physical Therapy Session, speakers Thad Hawkes/Jason Cordova, Margot Carter, Kyle LaCroix, and a visit to the Florida Tennis Center with sessions by Julio Godreau, Jason Allen, Bill Riddle, Bill Patton, and Brian Parkkonen.

“Saturday evening will be a forum, a social event where coaches can network and meet everyone and ask questions to presenters in a relaxed environment,” Baugh says.

Sunday will wrap up with sessions by Marc Atkinson, Robert Taylor, Styrling Strother and Mike Baugh.
