Location & Site: Ocala, Fort King Tennis Center

Date: March 5th

Training Content: Community Red Ball, Adaptive, Wheelchair

Community Red Ball

  • Goal = to train anyone to teach beginner youth players 
  • Registrants = League players, high school coaches, high school players, your own coaches who need a red ball refresher. 
  • Curriculum = Net Generation Red Ball & best practices 
  • Trainer = someone on your team; a local trainer 
  • Duration = 2 hours 
  • Budget Expense = Trainer’s expenses  

 

Adaptive

  • Goal = to train experienced & beginner coaches to teach the tennis to physically or cognitively disabled players 
  • Registrants = League players, high school coaches, high school players, your own coaches. 
  • Curriculum = Net Generation Red Ball Curriculum with adaptations 
  • Trainer = a local Adaptive Tennis Trainer 
  • Duration = 1 ½ hour – 2 hours 
  • Budget Expense = None

 

Wheelchair

  • Goal = to train experienced & beginner coaches to teach wheelchair tennis 
  • Registrants= League players, high school coaches, your own coaches.  
  • Curriculum = Net Generation Wheelchair & best practices 
  • Trainer = a local trainer; Will Speed; Jason Allen; Jim Tierney 
  • Duration = 1 ½ hour – 2 hours 
  • Budget Expense = Trainer’s expenses
