Sectional Regulations Team Eligibility 2.03A(5): The minimum number of required team members in the Combo 18 & Over is six (6) for all NTRP levels. All teams MUST have 6 eligible team members to combine and compete for their FIRST scheduled Sectional Championship match. This requirement cannot be waived. Entry fees will not be refunded to teams that withdraw after the tournament schedule is first published.
Sectional Regulation: Player Eligibility 8.57: In the Combo Divisions, a player must have played on that same team in a least two (2) matches during its local league season. No defaults received during local league competition shall count for advancing. A retired match shall count for all players involved.

Team Captain Phone Conference:
NEW FOR 2017! In place of the Captain’s Meeting, a phone conference will be scheduled for:
- Tuesday, November 28th at 12 Noon and 7:30 PM (Eastern Time)
- The captain may choose which time suits his/her schedule best
- A call-in number will be sent to the captain under separate email
- The captain or a team representative is required to be on one of the calls

- Check in will begin at 7:00 AM
- Captains will receive their team packet with line-up cards and the player’s gift during this time
- Team Captains please check-in at least 60 minutes before their FIRST scheduled match time
General & Match Play Information

Scoring: Section Reg 2.03C Scoring, Rest and Suspended Play. All matches played at the USTA Florida Sectional Championships shall be the best of two tiebreak sets with a set tiebreak (using the Coman tiebreak procedure) at 6-all. In the event of split sets, a match tiebreak (using the Coman tiebreak procedure) shall be played in lieu of a third set. No coaching is allowed at any time.
Umpires: There are roving umpires present at all championship sites. Roving umpires may be positioned inside the fenced areas and will interfere with play as little as possible. Players should be encouraged to play tennis without the need for umpires to be present. In the case of disputed calls and upon the request of the player, a roving umpire may be requested to observe a portion of the match.
Practice Courts: Practice courts are only available from 7:00am to 7:30am Friday & Saturday: from 7:30am to 8:00am on Sunday. In an effort to preserve the Plexicushion court surface, we kindly ask that you stay off the hard courts.
Court Surface: Clay
Coaching: No coaching allowed
Trainer: There will be a trainer on-site to assist with athletic injuries. They will have access to ice.
Awards: Winners and Finalist must report to the tournament desk for award distribution and team picture following their final match.
