World No. 4 Juan Martin del Potro was named the top seed in this year’s singles main draw, followed by world No. 9 John Isner as the second seed at the Delray Beach Open by VITACOST.com, where main draw play will start on Monday, Feb. 18, 2019 in Delray Beach, Fla.

Making his fifth appearance and starting his season for the third consecutive year in Delray Beach this year, del Potro will play his first round match on Tuesday, Feb. 19, at 8 p.m. against Yoshihito Nishioka. Also scheduled to play on Tuesday, Isner will face Canadian Peter Polansky during the day session.

American Frances Tiafoe, the defending champion, will be returning to Delray Beach this year to defend his title and is seeded No. 3. He will take the court Tuesday night at 6 p.m., playing a qualifier in a blockbuster night of play.

Three all-American showdowns are set to take place in the first round of play with Tennys Sandgren taking on Reilly Opelka, Mackenzie McDonald playing Taylor Fritz, and Steve Johnson battling Bradley Klahn.

World No. 14 Milos Raonic has withdrawn from this year’s event due to an injury.

In the qualifying draw beginning Saturday, American young guns Bjorn Fratangelo and 2015 finalist Donald Young will battle in an effort to move one step closer to the main draw.

In the ATP Champions Tour event, Team World and Team Americas are tied after the first round when 2006 Delray Beach Open singles champion Tommy Haas defeated American Jan-Michael Gambill 7-6 (4), 7-5.
