Day 1 Results at 2015 Florida ‘Bobby Curtis’ Jr. State Doubles

No age division had all seeds advance into the quarterfinals after play in the first two rounds on Saturday at the 67th USTA Florida “Bobby Curtis” Junior State Doubles Championships, but the seeds generally held firm in all divisions entering into Sunday play.

The exception was the Boys’ 18s division, where five of the eight seeds were eliminated during the first two rounds of play. The Girls’ 18s division by contrast saw seven of the eight seeds into the quarterfinals.

The 67th USTA Florida “Bobby Curtis” Junior State Doubles Championships are being held Sept. 19-21, 2015, at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs (18s-16s age divisions), and at the Florida Tennis Center in Daytona Beach (14s-10s divisions).

Florida’s top event was renamed to honor the legendary Florida junior tennis organizer Bobby Curtis in 2012. The tournament is annually a launching pad for future college stars and pros.
