Community Tennis Grants Available from USTA Florida Foundation

The 2016 grant cycle is open for equipment grants, program support grants, and facility assistance grants from the USTA Florida Foundation, with an application end date of Oct. 15, 2016.

Grant funds are limited to tennis program equipment for youth tennis, Masters Tennis, adaptive and wheelchair tennis, and healthy and active lifestyles programming. Applicants must be a Florida non-profit entity and maintain a current USTA Organizational Membership.

Program support grants include youth tennis programs and adaptive and wheelchair tennis for special populations of all ages. Grantees must be a charitable non-profit organizations as designated by the IRS or by a government entity (schools, parks & recreation sites, CTAs, etc.), and must be a USTA Organizational Member in good standing. Organizations must also must align with the Foundation’s focus on youth tennis and/or tennis for adaptive populations of all ages.

Facility assistance grants are awarded to public tennis facilities for 10 and Under Tennis, 36′ and 60′ lines, the building of permanent 36′ and 60′ courts, facility improvement, and new construction if the facility meets USTA National Guidelines.

With a mission of “Changing Lives through Tennis,” the USTA Florida Section Foundation provides financial support to organizations that help people of all ages and abilities improve their health and quality of life through the great game of tennis. The Foundation grants offer funding for youth tennis programs, adaptive tennis programs for those with special needs, community tennis programs in economically-challenged areas, along with facility assistance in the renovation, refurbishment and building of quality public tennis facilities.
