Black History Month, Remembrances of Bud Collins, More on Latest ‘Inside Tennis with The Koz’

The latest episode of “Inside Tennis with The Koz” will air Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018 at 12:30 p.m. in Florida on SNN TV but is now available for viewing at the link below.

The program features the 2017 USPTA Lessons for Life St. Jude Hospital Tennis Fundraiser at the Venetian River Club in Venice, Fla. USPTA tennis professional Brenda Mertz has coordinated the event for the last 19 years.

The 30-minute show also includes a segment on the recent Play Sarasota Magazine USTA Junior Tournament at the Longwood Run Athletic Club in Sarasota, Fla. The Koz sits down with legendary tennis journalist Richard Evans, discussing the Davis Cup, the broadcasting differentials of the four tennis Slams, and his look back on Bud Collins and Gene Scott in Evans’ latest book, The Roving Eye.

For Black History Month the program recognizes the contributions of American tennis greats Althea Gibson, Arthur Ashe, Venus Williams, Serena Williams, MaliVai Washington, James Blake, Madison Keys, Sloan Stephens, Katrina Adams and Martin Blackman.

International Tennis Hall of Fame coach Nick Bollettieri concludes the program by entertaining viewers with a quick-tennis tip.
