American Tennis Association Highlighted by “The Koz”

The Koz throws it back to 2016 for the 100th celebration of the American Tennis Association during the Aug. 8th episode of “Inside Tennis with The Koz”, that airs at 12:30 p.m. on SNN TV in Florida.

The feature will dive into the ATA’s impact on the game of tennis and the unity it has provided across the country. Interviews with tennis notables include past USTA Chairman and President Katrina Adams, former USTA Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer D.A. Abrams, Executive Director of the Black Tennis Hall of Fame Bob Davis, USTA General Manager of Player Development and Black Tennis Hall of Famer Martin Blackman, former top 10 singles player Lori McNeil, Bobby Curtis and Jim Martz.

The program will also feature legendary tennis coach Nick Bollettieri sharing birthday thoughts about turning 89 years, as well as a farewell tribute to USPTA tennis professional Tom Whitten, who brought pro women’s tennis back to Sarasota by hosting ten USTA Women’s Pro Circuit events at The Oaks Club. Whitten, who served as the Director of Tennis at The Oaks Club and directed its professional tournaments, will be leaving this month for sunny San Francisco, Calif., to direct the tennis programs at the highly-acclaimed Olympic Club.
