Florida’s eight players entered in the French Open juniors main draw or qualifying are competing this week at Roland Garros, where the finals will wrap-up on Saturday in Paris.

Last year’s girls’ finalist, Amanda Anisimova of Hallandale Beach, Fla., leads the U.S. girls’ contingent as the No. 2 seed, along with U.S. Junior Fed Cup team member Whitney Osuigwe of Bradenton, the No. 7 seed. Osuigwe is seeded No. 8 in the doubles with American partner Caty McNally.

Among the boys are Bradenton’s Sebastian Korda, coached by former Australian Open winner Petr Korda. Korda is seeded No. 6 in doubles with Serb partner Miomir Kecmanovic.

They are among a total of 20 U.S. players in the main draw and qualifying, the most of any country.

USTA Player Development National Coaches Sylvain Guichard, Leo Azevedo, Erik Kortland and Jean Desdunes will be providing support to all American players participating in the French Open Junior Championships. Players participating in the main draw will receive a $1,250 grant from USTA Player Development, and their full-time, personal coaches traveling with them to Paris will also receive a grant of $1,250.
