5 Different Winners at USTA Florida League Combo 18 & Over 5.5/7.5/9.5 Chps.
Teams from Broward County (Midtown Athletic Club, Weston), Leon County (Forestmeadows Park, Tallahassee), Marion County (Ft. King Tennis Center, Ocala), Okaloosa/Walton counties (Rosemary Beach Racquet Club), and Orange/Seminole counties (Sanlando Park, Altamonte Springs) captured USTA Florida League Sectionals championships over the weekend at the USTA Florida Combo 18 & Over 5.5/7.5/9.5 League Sectional Tennis Championships, held Jan. 15-17, 2016, at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Fla.
No teams were able to successfully defend championship from the previous year, most notably Marion County in the Men’s 5.5 division. Entering the event winning the division in five of the last six years, Marion County was edged in the Men’s 5.5 division final by Leon County.
Okaloosa/Walton counties won its first title of the 2015-year season in the second-to-last USTA Florida League Sectionals championships.
Entering the final league sectionals, Pinellas County (7 titles) holds a lead over Broward County (5 titles) for the final bragging rights as USTA Florida League county champion for the 2015 season (see chart below).
The competing teams this past weekend represented various clubs, parks or facilities that finished at the top of their local leagues during the 2015 season in the state of Florida to advance to the USTA Florida Combo 18 & Over Sectional Championships.

Final: Okaloosa/Walton counties (Rosemary Beach Racquet Club) finished ahead of Orange/Seminole counties (Lake Cane Tennis Center, Orlando) 4-0 to 3-1 in round robin play

For Combo 18 & Over 5.5/7.5/9.5 division play, the combined NTRP (National Tennis Rating Program) ratings of each doubles team may not exceed the level/division in which they are competing, and the NTRP rating difference between members of an individual doubles pair may not exceed 0.5.
