The 2023 Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) Tennis State Championships is finally here and set to begin on Monday, April 24, and runs through Friday, April 28.

Florida Tennis teams have been competing all season long, and this month have qualified for the state tournament after placing well in District and Regional Playoffs.

The FHSAA State Championship

The FHSAA State Championship starts on Monday, April 24.

This year, there are several great story lines. Over in 1A, St. Andrew’s is looking to keep their hot streak alive for both teams. The Girls’ team is going for their seventh straight championship, while the Boys’ team is looking to capture their fourth in a row.

Another Boys’ team, Ponte Vedra is looking to capture back-to-back titles. While teams like Gulliver Prep, True North, and Vero Beach are looking to make a run deep into the tournament.

Girls’ teams such as St. Thomas Aquinas and Gulliver Prep are looking to win states after taking home the title last year. Others like True North, Spanish River, Lake Nona, and Gulf Breeze have great chances at winning it all.

Classes 1A and 3A will take place on April 24 and 25, while teams in 2A and 4A will take the court on April 26 and 27. Top line players for both singles and doubles will also be competing in the individual draw.

There will be team competition and individual draws as well.
