USTA Florida Invites all to Black History Month AMPLIFY Event During Delray Beach Open
USTA Florida will host an AMPLIFY community activation at Pompey Park on February 15, bringing together tennis, culture, and connection during Black History Month. Taking place the day after Kids Day at the 2026 Delray Beach Open, the event will extend the celebration beyond the stadium and into the heart of the community.
Centered on the theme of Celebrating Legacy, Empowering the Future, Building Community, the free event is designed to highlight excellence and opportunity while creating meaningful engagement through tennis. The event will welcome participants of all ages and abilities for a day that blends sport, education, and community impact.

At the core of the activation is a free tennis clinic led by tennis professionals. Open to players of all skill levels, the clinic will focus on fun, fundamentals, and inclusion, ensuring that everyone has the chance to get on court and experience the game. By removing barriers to entry, the clinic reflects USTA Florida’s commitment to making tennis accessible and welcoming for all.
In addition to on court activities, attendees will have the opportunity to listen to an impactful panel discussion featuring Black leaders, coaches, athletes, and professionals. Panelists will share personal stories and insights on breaking barriers in tennis and sports, leadership and career pathways, and the importance of representation and community engagement. The discussion will provide inspiration and practical guidance for youth, families, and aspiring leaders, reinforcing the role tennis can play in opening doors both on and off the court.
This will also showcase a variety of community vendors, offering attendees the chance to explore and support local Black owned businesses and organizations. Vendors will feature apparel, art, accessories, and resources focused on health, wellness, education, and community services.
Pompey Park also has deep Florida history at it’s Coco Gauff’s hometown court, which was dedicated in her name following her win at the 2023 US Open.
By aligning with the Delray Beach Open and honoring Black History Month, the AMPLIFY activation at Pompey Park represents a celebration of legacy, commitment to future generations, and a reminder of the power of tennis to bring people together.
