USTA Florida, Dennis Tennis Serving Love, Kamp United Team Up for Back-to-School Tennis Clinic

Community Tennis News

As the school year is off and running across the state, USTA Florida hosted a Back-to-School Tennis Clinic, designed to help students on and off the tennis courts with tennis instruction and free supplies.

Hosted in collaboration with Dennis Tennis Serving Love and Kamp United at the historical Pompey Park, the event saw more than 20 kids gather at the courts in Delray Beach for a day of fun.

The clinic was for children of all ages and skill levels, offering a mix of tennis drills, games, and coaching. Off the court, kids took part in back-to-school activities focused on setting personal goals and building confidence for the year ahead. Each participant received a kit of school supplies, to help them kickstart their year.

This event couldn’t have come together without the collaboration of two National Junior Tennis & Learning (NJTL) organizations, Kamp United and Dennis Tennis Serving Love. Kamp United recently joined the NJTL network and is already making an impact in the Delray and West Palm Beach area. Dennis Tennis Serving Love was created in 2022 and has been impacting the greater portions of South Florida.

These organizations partnered up with USTA Florida to bring this clinic to life, and both groups plan to collaborate on future events. The response from families was overwhelmingly positive. Plenty of parents were grateful for all the organizations involved and would love to see this become a yearly event.

With strong turnout, enthusiastic feedback, and a shared commitment to youth development, the Back-to-School Tennis Clinic at Pompey Park was more than just a day of tennis, it was a celebration of learning, leadership, and local pride. Organizers are already looking ahead to future clinics that will continue to serve the community and build momentum for tennis in public parks.
