USTA Florida Celebrates Local Players with Appreciation Night at Crandon Park Tennis Center

General News

USTA Florida hosted a Player Appreciation Night on Friday, March 20 at Crandon Park Tennis Center, bringing together players and families for an evening of on-court activities and live Miami Open match viewing.

The event served as a thank you to the players and community who have supported Crandon Park Tennis Center over the past two months. On-court tennis activities ran throughout the night, offering attendees a chance to hit the courts in a fun, community-driven atmosphere. As the evening progressed, the event room transformed into a lively watch party, with local players and their families gathering to watch Miami Open matches together, enjoying the unique thrill of cheering on pros from the same park where they play every week.

“What stands out most in these first two months since USTA Florida assumed operations at Crandon Park Tennis Center is the sense of community we are building through tennis, already reflected in the presence of thousands of people on the courts,” Michel Cutait, Crandon Park Tennis Center Director of Operations, said. “Each day, more people come to play, and our purpose is to ensure that everyone feels welcomed and supported. This event recognizes the players who have made Crandon part of their routine and reinforces our commitment to access and opportunity for everyone in Miami-Dade.”

The evening highlighted USTA Florida’s ongoing commitment to celebrating the local tennis community and the players who have made the organization’s transition into Crandon Park smooth and thrive. Since establishing its operations at Crandon Park Tennis Center, USTA Florida has been committed to enhancing the experience for recreational players, families, and visitors, with a long-term vision to make the venue a thriving hub for community tennis year-round.

With activities of the night designed for the whole community, from beginners stepping on court for the first time to seasoned club players, Crandon Park Tennis Center is becoming a true gathering place for South Florida tennis. USTA Florida’s Player Appreciation Night is one example of the organization’s ongoing commitment to improving the park, growing the game at the grassroots level, and celebrating the local players who make it all worthwhile.
