The 2026 USTA Florida Tennis on Campus Sectional Championship made history as the biggest in the program’s history, with 11 unique schools and 24 teams coming together at the USTA National Campus in Orlando for a weekend of competitive coed tennis.

With competition as high as ever, it was a battle for the automatic bid to Nationals. In the end, the University of Florida emerged as sectional champion, punching its ticket to the 2026 Tennis on Campus National Championship.

The record-setting turnout showcased the continued growth of club tennis across the state. Schools from every corner of Florida were represented, including UF, UCF, the University of Miami, USF, UNF, Rollins College, Embry-Riddle, FIU, FSU, FAU, and the University of Tampa.

The diversity of participating programs, spanning large public universities, private institutions, and schools of all sizes, speaks to the growing appeal of Tennis on Campus as a pathway for college students to stay active and competitive in the sport.

The championship featured a mix of men’s and women’s singles, men’s and women’s doubles, and mixed doubles, creating an atmosphere that emphasized teamwork, camaraderie, and spirited competition throughout the weekend.

Florida earned three bids to the National Championship this year. Joining sectional champion UF on the trip to Fort Worth are UCF and the University of Miami, who each secured their spots through strong performances throughout the season. All three teams will represent USTA Florida at the 2026 USTA Tennis on Campus National Championship, held April 16-18 at Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth, Texas.

Tennis on Campus is the USTA’s program for college club tennis players, designed for students who want to compete without the demands of varsity athletics. The program provides opportunities for team building, social networking, and friendly competition while helping students maintain an active, healthy lifestyle throughout their college years. With more than 400 colleges and universities participating nationally, the program continues to be one of the most popular ways for students to stay connected to tennis.
