Community Tennis News Youth Tennis News

Summer in Florida means sunny skies, long days, and for many young players, a chance to grow their game at tennis camp. Across the state, kids are not only learning how to serve and rally, but also building confidence, friendships, and a lifelong love for the game.

Whether your child is picking up a racquet for the first time or looking to sharpen their match play, tennis summer camps offer something for everyone. With expert coaching, engaging drills, and a welcoming environment, these camps are the perfect way to stay active and improve throughout the summer.

Three facilities, each with its own unique energy and community, are still running strong as camps continue into the first week of August.

At Riverside Racquet Complex in Vero Beach, the courts are buzzing with energy. Nestled in the heart of Riverside Park, this historic facility is where Davis Cup captain Mardy Fish once trained. In partnership with the Mardy Fish Children’s Foundation, the summer camp here blends world-class coaching with a fun, inclusive atmosphere. In June alone, 168 unique campers participated, averaging over 50 kids per week. July is shaping up to be just as busy, with 77 campers already signed up. With shaded seating, a stocked pro shop, and a focus on both fundamentals and fun, Riverside continues to be a hub for tennis excellence and community connection.

Over on the Space Coast, the Racquet Club of Cocoa Beach is serving up a summer of skill-building and excitement. Located just minutes from the beach, this USTA Florida-managed facility offers a full-day camp experience that includes Red, Orange, Green, and Yellow ball progression and daily match play. In June, 50 children participated, and July already has 41 campers signed up. With certified pros, a structured schedule, and a focus on teamwork and sportsmanship, the camp is a favorite for families looking for a fun and active summer option.

In North Central Florida, Play Tennis Gainesville is making a big impact at the Joyce Oransky Tennis Center. This community-focused facility offers a welcoming environment for beginner and intermediate players alike. June saw 27 campers attend, and 18 are currently signed up for July. The camp features skill-based training, movement drills, and daily match play—all led by passionate, certified coaches. With its emphasis on inclusion, development, and fun, PTG is helping young players build confidence and community through tennis.

Each of these camps emphasizes fundamentals, teamwork, sportsmanship, and most importantly, fun. From Red Ball beginners to Green and Yellow Ball players preparing for tournaments, summer camp is a launchpad for all levels. And beyond the court, these programs help kids build friendships, stay active, and discover the joy of tennis in a supportive, inclusive setting.

There’s still time to serve up some summer tennis! To find a summer camp near you or to sign up for one of the final sessions at a USTA Florida facility, visit ustaflorida.com/local-play and check your local program listings.
