Florida’s Opelka and Krajicek Replace Shelton and Paul on USA Davis Cup Roster

Florida’s Reilly Opelka and Austin Krajicek will now join the star-studded United States Davis Cup team. Previously, it was announced that Ben Shelton would be part of the competition, taking place September 12 and 13, however due to an injury at the US Open, he will not participate. 

The full team will now be:

• Taylor Fritz
• Frances Tiafoe
• Reilly Opelka
• Austin Krajicek
• Rajeev Ram
• Bob Bryan (Captain)

Opelka will get a chance to play in front of his hometown crowd as the Delray native takes center court at the Delray Beach Tennis Center. The Double’s Specialist, Krajicek, will get to pair up with his Olympic partner Ram, where the duo won Silver at the 2024 games!

The action is set for September 12–13. The matchup will feature a best-of-five format with two singles matches on Friday evening and a doubles match followed by two singles matches on Saturday afternoon. The winning nation will advance to the Davis Cup Final 8, held November 18–23 in Bologna, Italy.
