Florida’s Austin Krajicek & Sebastian Korda Start Strong at Delray Beach Open
DELRAY BEACH, FL., FEBRUARY 18, 2026 — The 2026 Delray Beach Open is in full swing and Florida’s own are making their mark at one of the biggest tennis events in the Sunshine State. Two Florida players to keep an eye on this week are doubles standout Austin Krajicek and singles contender Sebastian Korda.
Austin Krajicek wasted no time making his presence felt at the 2026 Delray Beach Open. Krajicek, a former world No. 1 doubles player, Grand Slam champion, and 2024 Olympic silver medalist, teamed up with Croatia’s Nikola Mektic as the No. 2 seeds in the doubles draw.

The pair faced Canada’s Gabriel Diallo and American Ethan Quinn in their opening round match on Monday and delivered a gutsy performance. After dropping the first set in a tight tiebreak, Krajicek and Mektic regrouped and took the second set 6-3 to force a match tiebreak. From there, the experienced duo took control, pulling away for a convincing 10-4 win in the deciding set to advance to the quarterfinals. Krajicek, who was also recently named to the U.S. Davis Cup team, continues to compete at the highest level and is looking to make another deep run on home soil.
Bradenton’s Sebastian Korda opened his 2026 Delray Beach Open singles campaign with a convincing 6-4, 7-5 straight sets victory over fellow American Mackenzie McDonald on Tuesday on Center Court.

The former Delray Beach Open finalist was in control from start to finish. He broke McDonald twice to secure the first set and then held steady in a tighter second set to close things out.
Coming off a strong quarterfinal showing against top seed Taylor Fritz at last week’s Dallas Open, Korda carried that momentum into Delray Beach and improved his career record at the tournament to 7-2. He will face Alex Michelsen in the Round of 16 Wednesday night on Center Court.
