Florida Tennis Talent on Full Display at Adult 40 & Over 2.5/3.0/4.5 Sectional Championships
Three different women teams captured wins at the 2025 USTA Florida Adult 40 & Over 2.5/3.0/4.5 Sectional Championships, which took place at the USTA National Campus in Orlando.
The weekend featured three divisions of competition between women from across teh state. There were great matches as everyone was battling each other and the heat of summer.
In the Women’s 2.5, it was Duval County, who played flawlessly and came out with a perfect record in the round robin, securing the first-place finish.
Over in the Women’s 3.0 division, Alachua County had played some strong tennis in the round robin and dominated the championship match, taking down Miami-Dade 4-1. The Women’s 4.5 was one of the closer divisions of the entire year. Orange and Hillsborough County were evenly matched, and it came down to one line as Orange edged out a 3-2 win.
With victories, this secures National Championship bids for each of the winning teams. Nationals will take place in October across Arizona, California, and Florida.
