Miguel is a sports industry professional originally from Ponce, Puerto Rico. He played basketball and volleyball for 13 years, eventually competing at the collegiate level in volleyball. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and is currently pursuing his MBA in the same field. Before entering the sports industry, Miguel served in the U.S. Coast Guard, where he supported aviation operations and assisted in search and rescue missions in Kodiak, Alaska. Since then, he’s held roles with the USTA and Florida International University, focusing on facility operations, customer service, and event coordination. He’s passionate about building positive experiences for athletes and communities through well-run programs and efficient operations. Outside of work, Miguel enjoys spending time with his family, watching basketball, and staying active with regular workouts. Miguel’s skills will come in handy as he will be part of the Bobby Curtis Sectional Championship tournament team.
