Joanne Wallen

Managing Director, National & Global Events

Originally from England, began playing tennis at age four and became a top junior before moving to the U.S. in 1988 on a scholarship to the Bollettieri Tennis Academy. That same year, she signed with IMG as its youngest athlete at the time. Joanne competed for 14 years on the ITF and WTA tours, winning 15 titles and reaching world rankings of #252 in singles and #179 in doubles. In 2005, she joined Lexington Tennis Club as Director of Junior Development and later became General Manager. In 2016, Joanne moved to USTA as Director of Adult Individual Play at the National Campus in Orlando. In 2021, she was named Senior Director of the USTA National Campus, overseeing racquet sports programming, 165+ events, and facility operations. A USTA Certified High-Performance Specialist and USPTA tester, Joanne has dedicated her career to growing tennis and developing players at all levels.
