2025 Junior Team Tennis Season Ends with Fall State Championships

The 2025 Fall USTA Florida Junior Team Tennis State Championships marked the exciting conclusion of another successful JTT season, bringing thousands of players together for a weekend of spirited competition and teamwork.  

Held December 13–14 at the USTA National Campus, the event featured eight divisions in play, with teams from across the state showcasing their skills, sportsmanship, and love for the game. The championship atmosphere reflected the energy and dedication that define Junior Team Tennis in Florida. 

Junior Team Tennis is about more than wins and losses. JTT introduces players to tennis in a fun, team-based environment that emphasizes learning, development, and friendship. Players of all levels compete together, build confidence on the court, and learn important life skills such as teamwork, respect, and perseverance. The program creates a welcoming pathway for juniors to grow in the sport while forming lasting connections with teammates and opponents alike.

10U Intermediate 

Results: Hot Shots finished in first place, winning 148 games. Palma Ceia finished in second place, winning 130 games. 

Championship Roster: Reinaldo Valor (Captain), Bennett Brawley, Luke Courier, Jospeh DiGiacomo, Benjamin Galbraith, Rooney Metzler, Connel Paiva, Barrett Rockwood, Anastasia Valor 

12U Green Ball  

Results: VDF Force finished in first place, winning the championship flight with 28 games won. Stars finished in second place, with 19 games won in the championship flight.  

Championship Roster: David Kuhlman (Captain), Ryan Guo, Jackson Martinez, Cooper Melione, Sean Qiang 

12U Intermediate 

Results: Planet Tennis finished in first place, winning 110 games. Commodores finished in second place, winning 100 games.  

Championship Roster: Jenny Schroeder (Captain), Jaime Barquero Talavera, Sadie Miles, Landon Mitcham, Ensley Schroeder, Arden Schroeder 

12U Intermediate/Advanced 

Results: VDF Energy finished in first place, winning 81 games. Safety Harbor Tennis finished in second place, winning 79 games.  

Championship Roster: David Kuhlman (Captain), Henry Dorsch, Andres Guerra Lasanta, Ali Hamdar, Bryce Lenoir, Angus Then 

14U Intermediate 

Results: VDF Speed finished in first place, winning the championship flight with 27 games won. Game, Set, Match finished in second place, with 18 games won in the championship flight. 

Championship Roster: David Kuhlman (Captain), Kayla Benecke, Isabella Maguire, Lilya Menouni, Yuan Qiang, Hana Wright 

14U Intermediate/Advanced 

Results: Sandestin Sharks finshied in first place, winning 84 games. Temple Terrace Titans finished in second place, winning 70 games.  

Championship Roster: Mandi Skinner (Captain), Lincoln Elza, Tessa Sewards, Tripp Skinner, Jackson Warren 

18U Intermediate 

Results: Innisbrook finished in first place, winning 87 games. Berry Ballers finished in second place, winning 82 games. 

Championship Roster: Joe Ugolini (Captain), Ronan Connoly, Sofia Diaz, Nathan Ngo, Elise Young, Adrian Zouain 

18U Intermediate/Advanced 

Results: Apollo Beach Sharks finished in first place, winning 118 games. FWB Chihuahuaz finished in second place, wining 113 games.  

Championship Roster: Isabella Robbiani (Captain), Tyler Fetzner, Delaney Guider, Amara James Smith, Charlie Pham, Christopher Smisek
