Free USTA ‘Coaching Generation Z’ Webinar on March 18

The Lab Powered by Net Generation will host a free webinar, Coaching Generation Z, with Dan Gould, PhD, on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, from noon-1 p.m.

Gould will review the strengths and weaknesses of Generation Z youth tennis players and will employ coaching strategies that help maximize participation and enhance their tennis experience.

The Lab is a performance-focused content series powered by Net Generation, where tennis coaches, parents and community members of every level have the opportunity to learn from the best and each other.

Gould is the director of the Institute for the Study of Youth Sports at Michigan State University and a professor in the Department of Kinesiology. He has conducted research and consulted extensively with athletes and coaches ranging from the youth to the Olympic and professional levels.

He has co-authored “Foundations of Sport and Exercise Psychology” (with Bob Weinberg), the most widely-used textbook in sport and exercise psychology; “Understanding Psychological Preparation for Sport: Theory and Practice of Elite Performers” (with Lew Hardy and Graham Jones); the “USTA Mental Skills and Drills Handbook” (with Larry Lauer, Paul Lubbers and Mark Kovacs); and “Sport Psychology for Young Athletes” (with Camilla Knight and Chris Harwood).
