USTA Sections Collide at the 2026 Florida-Southern Team Challenge

Florida and USTA Southern squared off across four age divisions at the Florida Southern Team Challenge, held October 23 through the 25 in Florida and Tennessee. The 12s and 14s took place at the Champions Club Tennis Complex in Tennessee, while the 16s and 18s battled it out at the Florida Tennis Center in Daytona Beach.

The event pitted the two sides against each other in a head-to-head team format, with each squad fielding 16 to 17 players, typically eight boys and eight girls per division.

Competition spanned more than 90 matches in each age group, covering boys’ and girls’ singles, boys’ and girls’ doubles, and mixed doubles, with all doubles contested as one-set matches. Teams earned one point for every match won.

The two sides split the four divisions. Southern took the younger age groups while Florida claimed both of the older ones.
