Florida Residency Requirements
Players and their parents are required to be permanent residents of Florida in order to be eligible for this level tournament. Paperwork proving the parents and player are permanent residents must be RECEIVED in the USTA Florida office and APPROVED by Tuesday July 21st. Paperwork received after this date WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR THIS TOURNAMENT. Players wishing to check their approval can check the Tentative Ranking list published approximately 16 days before the start of the tournament or contact the USTA Florida office: email@example.com
The tournament format will be as follows: 2 out of 3 tiebreak sets with a 10 point match tiebreaker in lieu of a third set. FIC through the round of 16.
5th and 6th place match will be played. 7th and 8th place match will not be played.
Draw Size: 64 players per division.
Players who participate in the August 15th Boys and Girls 12’s and 14’s Bobby Curtis Championships WILL NOT be eligible to play in the “Bobby curtis” Boys and Girls 16’s and 18’s later this fall.

*All players must complete the USTA National Campus Waiver prior to the start of their first match.

Player Selection & Schedule
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration. Schedule will be posted in TennisLink no later than TBD.
Virtual Tournament Desk
In response to COVID-19, we will be using Match Tennis App’s Virtual Tournament Desk technology to help facilitate CDC best practices.
In order to compete in this event, all competitors MUST click the below link to fill out the check-in form, and sign the waiver for this tournament.

General & Match Play Information

Tournament Format: The tournament format will be as follows:

Umpires: There are roving umpires present at all championship sites. Roving umpires may be positioned inside the fenced areas and will interfere with play as little as possible. Players should be encouraged to play tennis without the need for umpires to be present. In the case of disputed calls and upon the request of the player, a roving umpire may be requested to observe a portion of the match. Head Referee is Tracy Morgan.
Practice Courts: No practice courts available at any time.
Court Surface: Determined by 6/25 at 3:00 PM
Coaching: No coaching allowed.
Trainer: There will be a trainer on-site to assist with athletic injuries. They will have access to ice.
Awards: Winners and Finalist will receive awards and have individual pictures taken.
